Alternatively, you can invoke a keyswitch manually – see Adding keyswitches as expressions. When using Human Playback, text expressions or Smart Shapes can be added to "trigger" these keyswitches as part of Human Playback’s interpretation. For example, all "KS" string instruments can play in an arco (bowed), pizzicato (plucked), or tremolo (in rapid succession) style. Also, Note-Attached expressions are recommended for keyswitch expressions.Īny instrument with "KS" in its name (as shown in the ScoreManager or ARIA Player) includes alternate sounds relating to a particular performance technique for that instrument.
